Britta von Oesen

Britta von Oesen has 15+ years of experience in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate strategy, and project finance and development in the wind, solar, storage, and broader sustainability sectors. She focuses primarily on transaction management—including M&A, structuring, and negotiation of tax equity—for utility-scale and distributed generation clean energy companies and assets, both in the United States and globally. She is a Partner and Senior Managing Director of CRC-IB (formerly CohnReznick Capital), where she has contributed to billions of dollars’ worth of clean energy transactions, demonstrably moving the needle toward a more sustainable future.
Before joining CRC-IB, von Oesen was Head of Corporate Strategy and Development for Gestamp Solar, focusing primarily on M&A transactions and project financing for U.S. solar projects. She has also served as a Group Manager for Windkraft Nord AG, a German wind and solar developer, managing the Italian operations for the development of a 1GW+ portfolio of wind and solar assets throughout mainland Italy and Sicily. Before moving to Italy, she worked in Lehman Brothers’ investment banking team within the Global Power Group.
As one of few senior women in renewable energy finance, von Oesen has received several industry awards, including the San Francisco Business Times‘ 2020 “Most Influential Women in Business” and Renewable Energy World’s 2018 “Solar 40 Under 40.” In addition to her current role at CRC-IB, she serves as Co-Chair of the Solar Energy Industries Association’s (SEIA’s) Women’s Empowerment Sub-Committee. She received an MBA with honors in Finance from Cornell University’s Johnson Business School and a BA in Environmental Biology from Colgate University.
