Melinda Baglio is the Chief Investment Officer and General Counsel at CleanCapital, a recognized leader in clean energy investment. She oversees all aspects of CleanCapital’s legal affairs, as well as the structuring and execution of capital markets transactions.

Since joining CleanCapital in 2018, Baglio has overseen nearly every aspect of its operations and has been instrumental in guiding the company’s advancement from a start-up to one of North America’s leading commercial solar asset owners. From closing multiple credit facilities to securing equity commitments totaling up to $800 million from Manulife Investment Management, she continues to build and optimize CleanCapital’s portfolio. Her contributions have positioned the company as one of the most credible, experienced investors in the market to do business with and advanced the company’s mission to accelerate the clean energy transition.

Baglio’s passion for renewable energy stems from her time as an advocate for effective environmental policy at NYPIRG and is the common thread through her impressive career in law and finance. Prior to joining CleanCapital, she was an attorney at Chadbourne & Parke and later at global law firm White & Case. Her extensive legal experience has centered around representing investors and developers in energy financing transactions, including several award-winning and innovative deals. Baglio is a graduate of Colgate University and Fordham Law School.
