Raisa Lee is an engineer and solar energy developer with more than a decade of experience in the renewables industry. Today, she is Director of Project Development at Clearway Energy Group, a leading national developer, owner, and operator of renewable energy in the United States. There she leads the company’s solar and storage growth in the West.

Lee is responsible for developing a portfolio of utility-scale solar and storage projects and strategically advancing them through many complex challenges, including interconnection, land use, permitting, regulation, policy, supply chain and power marketing, to successfully bring financeable projects to construction and online. 

Prior to working at Clearway, Lee was a Project and Development Engineer at SunPower, serving as a technical expert focused on the design of solar facilities, while also implementing the company’s product roadmaps. With her technical background and development expertise, she has successfully deployed over three gigawatts across more than 50 projects in her career.

Lee is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in California and a LEED Accredited Professional. She earned her BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and is a proud Oakland, California, native. Her professional goal is to apply her industry experience and leadership toward equitable clean energy solutions that help address the climate crisis.
