Ramya Swaminathan has approximately 30 years of experience in the energy industry, with varied experience in capital markets to commodities trades to project development, regulatory process management, project finance to technology commercialization. She has successfully founded two companies and raised approximately $200 million in capital from venture and private equity funds, as well as strategic investors. Most recently, she led the spin-out of Malta, Inc. from Google X and served as its CEO for six years, during which time she raised more than $100 million, developed strategic partnerships for Malta with blue-chip industrial companies, and announced its first commercial offtake agreement. She currently serves as Board Member and Senior Advisor to Malta. She also serves on the Advisory Board of National Grid New England and on the U.S. Department of Energy's Electricity Advisory Committee.
