Valentini Pappa, Manager of Graduate Studies for Texas A&M University at Qatar, is an accomplished professional with over 17 years of experience in university-level educational environments in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. She is committed to fostering a skilled learning atmosphere with a creative and forward-thinking mentality, equality, and increased diversity for undergraduate and graduate-level students using her extensive expertise in designing new curriculums. Pappa also works on energy workforce development and energy education of the future. She is currently teaching the “Global Energy Future” course for the Master of Science in Energy Program at Texas A&M. In addition, she spearheads Texas A&M Energy Institute’s collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy to organize, manage, and host the annual C3E Women in Clean Energy Symposium. 

Pappa has worked on several projects related to climate change and food security in Europe. Since 2016, her research interests have shifted toward water-energy-food nexus, food security, sustainability, circular economy, energy policy, and global environmental changes. Pappa has a broad knowledge of current global challenges in developing countries and strong experience and background in global energy teaching. She is currently finalizing an edited book on energy education. Pappa is an environmentalist and holds a PhD and MS in Geoscience from The University of Edinburgh, UK.
