Erin Davis is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Enduring Planet, a financial technology platform focused on non-dilutive, founder-friendly capital for climate entrepreneurs. Davis and her global investment team have made more than 35 investments in the clean energy and climate change space in the United States.
Prior to founding Enduring Planet, she co-founded and served as the Vice President of Social Investment Managers & Advisors (SIMA Funds). Over six years, she played a crucial role in driving impact investment in emerging markets, establishing three funds in the off-grid energy and financial access space with a total capitalization of approximately $180 million. Notably, Davis served as the Director of the SIMA Angaza Distributor Finance Fund, where she spearheaded gender-lens investing initiatives for energy entrepreneurs in Sub-Saharan Africa. She also played a critical role in setting up a $90+ million COVID Energy Access Relief Fund, a global coalition of development investors ensuring off-grid energy companies could continue to operate during the pandemic.
Davis’ journey in the impact investing realm started with a fellowship in Tonga at South Pacific Business Development, and she later served as an Investment Officer at FINCA International.
Davis earned her Master of Business Administration with a focus on finance from the Kogod School of Business at American University and a Master of Arts in International Development from the American University School of International Service. She laid the foundation of her education at Wheaton College Massachusetts, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Hispanic Studies with a focus on Pre-Medical Studies. She was also a two-time NSCAA All-American Soccer player.
