Grace Overlander established G Overlander Consulting, using her experience as a business leader to help companies scale. Before starting her own consulting business, she was the Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle Engines, an ultra-efficient engine startup company. She was brought on board to restructure and guide the new company into commercialization. She came to Pinnacle Engines from Tesla Motors, where she led the Powertrain Production Engineering organization and was responsible for the successful launch of more than a dozen distinct products. Prior to Tesla, Overlander instituted the refurbishment strategy for General Motors’ (GM’s) award-winning Volt. Her work at GM also established processes to drive product quality earlier in vehicle development, resulting in faster, more successful launches. Throughout her career, Overlander has been a champion for educating students and coworkers. She has sponsored internships in the sustainability and alternative energy space and championed plant tours and executive events to introduce students to electric vehicle technology. She holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. She graduated from MIT as a Fellow in Leaders for Global Operations.
