Dr. Jing Li is a Distinguished Professor and the Board of Governors Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University. Her research is primarily in the areas of solid-state inorganic and inorganic–organic hybrid materials that possess interesting and useful properties. Li has 480+ peer-reviewed publications, including 45 invited review articles and book chapters, and has been issued 13 U.S. patents. In addition, she has received a number of awards, including the 2023 Chancellor-Provost Award for Pioneering Scholarship, the National Science Foundation Presidential Faculty Fellow Award, the National Science Foundation CAREER Award, and the Humboldt Research Award. She is an Elected Fellow in the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the European Academy of Sciences, and the Royal Society of Chemistry. Li has served as an Associate Editor for Crystal Growth & Design and Journal of Solid State Chemistry, and is currently on the editorial advisory boards for the Journal of Materials Chemistry A, EnergyChem, Materials Advances, and CrystEngComm. She received her PhD from Cornell University, her MS from State University of New York at Albany, and her BS from Central China Normal University.
