Laura Parkan
Vice President, Hydrogen Energy, Air Liquide Americas
Laura Parkan currently serves as Vice President of Air Liquide Hydrogen Energy Americas. In this role, Laura oversees the development and integration of hydrogen energy to lead our industry on the path to a cleaner, safer, and more affordable energy future.
Laura joined Air Liquide in 1992. With 30 years of experience in project management, strategic planning, engineering, and business development, Laura played a significant role in developing and achieving both business and strategic objectives to increase Air Liquide’s profitability and presence in the energy market. She led and managed numerous departments, including the CO2 Business Line and Divestiture field, and improved operational efficiency of Air Liquide’s business lines. Most recently, Laura served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Air Liquide Electronics for 5 years.
As the Vice President of Hydrogen Energy Americas, Laura builds on Air Liquide's 60 years of leadership in the hydrogen market to advance the development and deployment of low-carbon solutions across the entire hydrogen value chain, from production and distribution, to end-user applications. Laura guides the hydrogen energy strategy throughout the Americas ensuring strong contribution to the Group's goals of tripling the sale of hydrogen and investing nearly $10 billion in low-carbon hydrogen by 2035. These goals are part of Air Liquide's ultimate ambition of reaching carbon neutrality by 2050.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston. In addition, Laura has completed advanced studies in International Development at INSEAD Graduate School in France.
