Sila Kiliccote

Sila Kiliccote has over 15 years of experience in building and leading teams to deliver impactful and innovative research in demand response, electric vehicles integration, vehicle-to-grid, and data analytics for the electricity grid. She currently works at Breakthrough Energy Ventures (BEV), where she focuses on investments in clean energy and decarbonization technology. Prior to joining BEV in 2021, Kiliccote was the founder and CEO of eIQ Mobility, a startup that simplified and accelerated electrifying vehicle fleets, which was acquired by NextEra Energy Resources in 2020. Before founding eIQ, Kiliccote was the Managing Director of Grid Innovations at Precourt Institute for Energy at Stanford University. She also formed and led the Grid Integration, Systems and Mobility group at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, where she received the 2017 SLAC Director’s Award. She was also the recipient of C3E's Award in Research in 2014. She spent more than 10 years at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and worked with teams to develop OpenADR. Kiliccote received an MS in Building Science from Carnegie Mellon University, attended the MBA program at Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business, and received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
