Session: Global perspectives on energy access in developing economies
Sudeshna Ghosh Banerjee is the Practice Manager for Europe and Central Asia in the Energy and Extractives Global Practice of the World Bank where she is responsible for managing wide range of energy operations and policy engagements. Previously, she was the Energy Practice Manager in East Africa. An Economist by training, her thematic focus is on project economics, monitoring and evaluation, and on a broad range of energy issues including energy transition policies, energy access, renewable energy, subsidy delivery, and economic assessments. She holds a Ph.D in Public Policy from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA)and MA in Economics from Delhi School of Economics (India).
