Tracey Holloway

Tracey Holloway is jointly appointed in the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies and the Department of Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has been active in the growth of the Energy Analysis and Policy (EAP) program, including serving as its Chair and as the Inaugural Rudd–Bissell Professor from 2017 to 2021. She now serves as Founding Director of the Nelson Institute Enterprise, a business engagement program built on the success of her work with EAP, in addition to leading a research group at the intersection of air quality, energy, climate, and public health. She serves as the three-time Leader of the NASA Health and Air Quality Applied Sciences Team, which connects NASA data with stakeholder interests in air quality management and public health. Holloway has been recognized as a member of the National Academy of Medicine, as a recipient of the Ascent Award from the American Geophysical Union Atmospheric Sciences Section, and with multiple awards for science outreach, diversity, and mentoring. She holds a PhD in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from Princeton University and an ScB in Applied Math from Brown University.
