Xiaolin Zheng
Dr. Xiaolin Zheng is a professor in Mechanical Engineering and Energy Science & Engineering at Stanford University. She is the faculty co-director of the Stanford Hydrogen Initiative. She received her Ph.D. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University (2006), B.S. in Thermal Engineering from Tsinghua University (2000). Prior to joining Stanford in 2007, she did her postdoctoral work in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University. Her research group is passionate about the design, synthesis, and testing of novel materials for energy and propulsion applications. Selected awards include the Resonate Award from Resnick Institute at Caltech (2016), the National Geographic Emerging Explorer Award (2014), the TR35 Award from the MIT Technology Review (2013), and the Presidential Early Career Award (PECASE) from the white house (2009).
