Session: Can data driven solutions give us more equitable energy solutions?

Dr. Xin Ma is the founder and Managing Director of Asia Platform at TotalEnergies Ventures (TEV) of the Group TotalEnergies. She has strong knowledge and experience in venture capital investments, M&A, business strategy and corporate governance, as well as sectorial expertise in energy, mobility, and sustainability investments. She is deeply imbedded in the innovation and venture capital / private equity ecosystem in Europe and Asia. She was recently ranked 4th at the Global Corporate Venturing Rising Stars Awards 2021. Her investments include Grab, Canopy Power, G7 Company, Cathay Innovation I, Cathey Smart Energy Fund, and NIO Capital’s Mobility Fund. She has rich experience as a board member, advisory group member, strategic committee member, and investment committee member. She speaks frequently at industrial conferences globally and regularly serves as a jury member for international startup competition events, including events hosted by Financial Times, Global Corporate Venturing, CleanTech Group, Global Energy Tech Summit and SuperRetuen. 

She joined TotalEnergies Group in 2009, where she held several posts, including the Group’s Deputy Chief Economist, the head of Equity Development in Asia-Pacific, as well as the head of Asia for M&A and New Business for the Marketing and Service Branch. Previously, she worked in Deloitte’s London office as associate manager.
